The village is well situated and reachable by public mini busses (bemos), which run regularly.
Telephone and Internet access are available in the village of Bondalem. It is however cheaper
at the Post office in Singaraja.
The nearest place to change foreign currencies is the provincial capital Singaraja (30 km).
You can find Internet Cafés and money changers in the tourist area of Lovina
Attention: you will need plastic shoes to enter the sea, as there are sharp corals.
Please respect the local customs: don't show yourself naked or topless on the beach.
The waste disposal is a real problem in Bali. It does not exist a waste incinerator therefore
it is advisable to reduce waste and rubbish as much as possible. You have the possibility
of refilling your water bottles at the house.
The best is to use the rechargable batteries
(battery chargers are provided). It is recommended
to take used batteries back with you
and dispose them at the proper facilities at home.
Electricity: The voltage is 220 volt and needs a rounded 2 pin plug.

There is a hospital in Bondalem, and a clinic in Singaraja which is run by a British qualified
doctor who speaks fluent English. There are as well private clinics in Ubud and Denpasar with
services and competence which are comparable to the European standards. You can also find a very well
supplied Phamarcy in Singaraja.

The air temperature lies between 25 and 32 degrees practically round the year, and the
sea between 28 and 30 degrees. The climate is very pleasant due to the sea breeze. In the hill areas is
slightly cooler and you will need a pullover during the evenings.
The monsoon wind between January and March brings about rainfalls. The spells are most of the time short and heavy
and usually during the afternoons and at night. The rainfalls in the north coast is less compared to the south.
The humidity is very high and tropical.
The sun sets during the whole year is around 6 in the evening and rises around 6 in the morning.
